What employers in the UAE expect on a CV
A photo is common, not compulsory
Many CVs in the UAE include a professional headshot, and plenty of recruiters here expect one. Use a recent, well-lit photo in business attire against a plain background, or leave it off if the employer asks for none.
Nationality, visa status and a local number
Recruiters want to know at a glance whether you are in the country and can join without a new visa. Add your nationality, a short visa line such as 'Residence visa (family sponsored)' or 'Visit visa, valid until June', and a +971 mobile number with your city.
Say when you can join
Employers in the Gulf often hire quickly and ask about your notice period early. Close your profile summary with 'Available immediately' or '30 days' notice' so the answer is already there.

Should I put a photo on my CV in the UAE?
It is common and many recruiters expect one, but it is not required. If you add one, use a recent professional headshot with a plain background. In CVFalcon the photo is optional, so you decide for each application.
