How to write an electrical engineer CV

  1. State project scale in electrical terms, for example 'LV and 11 kV design for a 40-storey tower with a 6 MVA connected load'.
  2. Show output and savings, such as '35 drawings issued a month' or 'cut cable and containment cost by 6% through riser redesign'.
  3. Describe authority approvals by result, for example 'approved power, lighting and fire alarm designs for 14 buildings with one round of comments each'.
  4. Name the codes and tools you work in, such as IEC 60364, BS 7671, NFPA 72, ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
