Document controller CV and resume example

Project managers hire document controllers for accuracy and a clean audit trail. They read for the system you ran, such as Aconex or SharePoint, and the volume you handled, from weekly transmittals and drawing revisions to RFIs and submittals. In the Gulf, experience with drawing registers, project close-out dossiers and ISO 9001 document control often decides between close candidates.

How to write a document controller CV

  1. Name your system and volumes, for example 'Aconex, about 400 transmittals and 120 drawing revisions a week across 14 contractors'.
  2. Prove accuracy and speed, such as 'kept the document register 99% accurate in two client audits' or 'cut transmittal turnaround from 3 days to 1'.
  3. List the document types you control, like drawings, RFIs, material submittals, correspondence, minutes and as-built records, and the numbering standard you enforced.
  4. Include close-out work, for example 'compiled 38 handover dossiers of about 11,000 documents in six weeks'.
