How to write a mechanical engineer CV

  1. Name the systems and their scale, for example 'HVAC for a 1,200-key hotel' or 'maintenance of 2,400 assets across 38 buildings'.
  2. Show results in energy use, uptime, maintenance completion, cost or commissioning time, with before-and-after numbers.
  3. List the codes you design to, such as ASHRAE or NFPA, and the software you use, like Revit MEP, HAP or AutoCAD.
  4. Add professional registration and relevant certificates, such as chartered or PE status, Certified Energy Manager or LEED.
