What employers in Ireland expect on a CV
No photo, date of birth or marital status
Irish employment equality law covers nine grounds, including gender, civil status, family status, age, race and religion. Employers do not want details that touch on them, so leave off the photo, date of birth and marital status.
Two pages of A4
Two pages is the norm for experienced candidates, and one is fine for many graduates. Keep recent and relevant roles detailed and shorten the rest to a line or two.
State your permission to work
Irish, UK, EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work in Ireland without an employment permit. Everyone else should say what their permission allows, for example 'Stamp 4' or 'Critical Skills Employment Permit holder', so the employer knows where they stand.
Name qualifications the Irish way
Give degree results the way Irish employers read them, such as 'BA (Hons), 2.1'. School leavers can list Leaving Certificate points or key subjects. For qualifications from abroad, a comparison from NARIC Ireland helps the reader place them.
Keep your PPS number off
Your PPS number is for payroll and tax once you are hired, not for your CV. The same goes for passport and bank details. Name, phone, email, town or county and a LinkedIn profile are enough.

Should I put a photo on my CV in Ireland?
No. Irish employers do not expect one, and most would rather not receive it. The photo field in CVFalcon is optional, so leave it empty.
