Questions

Is it free?

Building and previewing your CV is free, with every template and no sign-up. To download the PDF you buy the CVFalcon Pass once for $9, or less in some countries. It unlocks every template and unlimited downloads.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay once and that is the end of it. Nothing renews and there is no trial that turns into a charge.

Will my CV get past applicant tracking systems?

Every template is real, selectable text in a normal reading order, with standard fonts embedded in the PDF. There is no text inside images and no skill bars, which are the things tracking software struggles with.

Where is my information stored?

In your browser, on your device. There are no accounts. When you download, your CV is sent to our server only to draw the PDF and is not kept. When you import an old CV, its text is read to fill in the form and is not kept either.

CV or resume: which do I need?

In most countries they are the same document. Americans and Canadians say resume, while the UK, Ireland, the Gulf and South Africa say CV. Every template works for both, on A4 or US Letter, and the country pages set the right defaults for you.

Should I put a photo on my CV?

It depends on the country. A photo is common on CVs for the UAE and the Gulf, and many Filipino resumes carry a 2x2 photo, but neither is required. Leave it off for Ireland, the UK and the US, where employers do not expect one.

I am applying to the Gulf from abroad. What should my CV say?

Say where you are based and that you need a visa, for example “Based in Manila, requires employment visa”, next to your contact details. Add your notice period too, because Gulf employers often ask about it early.

Can I add my nationality, visa status or a photo?

Yes. Those fields are optional and appear only if you fill them in, which suits CVs for the UAE and the wider Gulf. Leave them blank for markets like the UK or US, where they are not expected.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final, because your PDF is delivered the moment you pay. Build and preview your CV for free first, so you know exactly what you are buying. If a download does not work or you were charged twice, write to support@cvfalcon.com and we will fix it or refund you.
