What employers in Kuwait expect on a CV
Name your residence type
Kuwait residence is issued under numbered articles, and recruiters use them as shorthand: Article 18 for private-sector work, Article 17 for government work and Article 22 for family residence. A line such as 'Residence: Article 18 (private sector)' answers the first question.
Visa 18 transfer: write only what you know
Recruiters often ask whether your visa 18 can be transferred to a new employer. The rules on transfers have changed several times and depend on your own case, so write 'transferable' only if you have confirmed it. Otherwise, leave the question for the first call.
Mention your civil ID, not its number
Say that you hold a valid civil ID and give the expiry year if it helps, but keep the number itself off your CV. Employers collect it during onboarding, and a CV passes through many inboxes before that.
Kuwaiti nationals first
The government sector and many private employers give priority to Kuwaiti nationals. If you are Kuwaiti, make it the first line of your personal details.
Photo, driving licence and two pages

How do I write my visa type on a Kuwait CV?
One short line in your personal details, such as 'Residence: Article 18 (private sector)' or 'Residence: Article 22 (family sponsored)'. If you are outside Kuwait, write where you are based and that you need an employment visa.
What does 'visa 18 transferable' mean?
It means you hold a private-sector work residence and can move it to a new private-sector employer. Whether a transfer is possible depends on the current rules and your own situation, so check before you write it on your CV.
Should I put my civil ID number on my CV?
No. Mention that you hold a valid civil ID, and keep the number for the employer's onboarding forms. The same applies to your passport number.
Should I include a photo on a Kuwait CV?
