IT support specialist CV and resume example

IT managers hire support staff who fix problems fast and explain them simply. They look at ticket volume, SLA results and the systems you supported, such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and VPN, plus certificates like CompTIA A+. Entry-level applicants can stand out with a helpdesk internship, a home lab and one certificate, since many Gulf and Philippine teams train new hires on the job.

How to write an IT support specialist CV

  1. Quote ticket volume and speed, for example '30 tickets a day, 94% closed within SLA, first response under 10 minutes'.
  2. Name the systems and the size of the user base, such as 'Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory for 300 staff across four offices'.
  3. Show one improvement beyond closing tickets, like a self-service guide that cut password reset tickets by 30% or Intune imaging that cut laptop setup from 70 to 25 minutes.
  4. If you have little experience, list a certificate and a home lab, such as 'CompTIA A+, 2025' or 'built a test domain with three virtual machines to practise Group Policy'.
