Graphic designer CV and resume example

Creative directors hiring a graphic designer look at the portfolio first and the CV second, so the CV has to point clearly to the work. They read for the brands you designed for, the range of media you handle, from print and packaging to social and motion, and signs that you meet deadlines and take a brief well. The layout of the CV itself is part of the test.

How to write a graphic designer CV

  1. Put your portfolio link in the header and make sure the first projects it shows match the job you want.
  2. Name clients, brands or campaigns and the media involved, such as packaging, outdoor, social or exhibition stands.
  3. Add numbers where they exist: projects a year, turnaround times, branches or products rolled out, or results the client shared.
  4. If you design in more than one script, such as Arabic and English, say so clearly, since bilingual typography is a real skill in the Gulf.
