Doctor CV and resume example

Medical directors read a doctor's CV for licence status, training and patient load. For a GP, they want to see the patients you treat a day, the conditions and procedures you handle alone and whether you have worked with insurance panels and e-claims. In the Gulf, say how far your licence has progressed, from Dataflow and Prometric to an active DHA, DOH or MOHAP licence, and list your CME hours with dates.

How to write a doctor CV

  1. Put your licence stage in the headline, for example 'General Practitioner, DOH licensed' or 'Prometric passed, Dataflow complete, licence in process'.
  2. Give your daily patient volume and mix, such as '35 to 40 patients a day, adults and children, with about 40% chronic disease follow-ups'.
  3. List the procedures you perform without referral, such as 'suturing, ECGs and nebulisation, about 15 minor procedures a week', since small clinics hire for what you can do alone.
  4. Record CME hours and life support courses with dates, for example '52 CME hours in 2025' and 'ACLS, American Heart Association, 2024'.
