Electrician CV and resume example

Supervisors want proof that you can wire, test and sign off safe work. They look for the systems you worked on, such as LV panels, cable tray, lighting and motor control, and the sites, from towers to factories. Overseas applicants should show a TESDA NC II or equivalent trade certificate, Gulf experience and any trade test result, because agencies and employers check these first.

How to write an electrician CV

  1. Say what you installed with sizes, for example 'distribution boards up to 400 A, 3 km of cable tray and 420 lighting circuits'.
  2. Put your trade certificate first, such as 'Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II (TESDA, 2014)', then any trade test you passed for an employer or agency.
  3. Name the tests and instruments you use, like insulation resistance, earth continuity and RCD tests with an insulation tester, clamp meter and multimeter.
  4. Add your safety tickets and site record, such as OSHA 10-Hour, working at height or first aid, and 'no lost-time injuries in five years on Gulf sites'.
